Differentiation Individually

As I've been doing a little research on differentiation on my own, I came across this cartoon:

Aside from it being such a cute message and picture, it has a strong meaning to it! When a new school year starts, so many students walk in with different personalities and different ways of learning. It's so important to get to know your students and find out what level of learning they are at, and what their learning style is. It is our job as teachers to promote this so that we can help each student grow individually instead of letting each child grow with the crowd. If we can make differentiation apart of our classroom, we will succeed at pushing each child at their own rate of learning.
